DELCO 7293905 WONDERBAR Radio für CADILLAC Baujahr 1966

The DELCO car radio shown here, with the model number 7293905 was used by CADILLAC in the 1966 model year. It is a 12 volt car radio that has AM and FM reception. The WONDERBAR Radio was one of the first car radios that could independently and automatically search for the nearest station available. Of course, the automatic search worked very differently than with modern radios today, but the idea is the same â€" the radio finds the nearest station by pressing the WONDERBAR button. The driver could set the desired reception level of the automatic search by setting the sensitivity to a signal with higher or lower strength. With a re-press of the WONDERBAR button, the radio's mechanics guide the next available station.
